Fri, Jun 13th, 2008 7:56 pm BdST Dhaka, June 13 (bdnews24.com) – It is an interesting time to be in Bangladesh, says the new AFP Dhaka Bureau Chiuef. Julie Clothier joined Agence France-Presse as the new bureau chief, replacing Helen Rowe, who has moved to AFP's Paris headquarters, said the news agency in a statement Friday. Clothier says she is very much looking forward to her time in Bangladesh, AFP said. "With elections scheduled for December, it is an interesting time to be a journalist in Bangladesh," she was quoted as saying. "I can see there is no shortage of interesting stories here." Clothier has worked in journalism for the past 10 years, including roles in newspapers, television stations and online news outlets in New Zealand, England, Thailand, France and Italy. Most recently she has been working for CNN International in London. bdnews24.com/eh/rah/1942hours
