Malaysia's 2nd Home Program and Bangladeshis

This writer knows fairly well, how the MMSH program works.Statistics of Bangladeshi nationals who have taken the Malaysia My Second Home (MMSH) visa:2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 to date32 204 852 341 148The MMSH visa is now given in KL's Putrajaya Immigration Office. The visa is pasted on the page of the passport with the picture of the person. It is very conspicuous, covering the entire page of the passport. This MMSH visa is not a typical rubber stamp.Although the requirements for the MMSH visa can easily be met by an American worker, it is not so for a Bangladeshi. An American will go to Malaysia and take the MMSH visa to retire there because the cost of living in Malaysia is much less than the US. But not so for Bangladeshis. In fact, it is just the opposite. Cost of Malaysian living is higher than Bangladesh. So, why should a Bangladeshi take this MMSH visa? After all, this visa does not allow anyone to work or engage in business in Malaysia! The obvious answer will be to escape being caught by the Bangladeshi laws.It will be easy to find out the Bangladeshis who have taken the MMSH visa. These Bangladeshis will visit either Bangladesh or the Bangladeshi Embassies in Malaysia or other countries. If their passports are reviewed by the Bangladeshi Immigration at land, sea and air ports of entry or by the Embassies, they can be identified. RobinCarmel, California
